The steak & mushroom pie And the berger cookie pie were great! Date night was an amazing deal. (Hubby had lump crab quiche.) We had iced coffee as the beverage. Would definitely come back! The homemade pie crust is everything.
Who doesn't love a good pie shop? This place is the cutest little corner spot. Would be perfect for a cheeky date night. They do savory and sweet pies, I only tried the sweet tonight but they do have a great deal Tuesday thru Thursday where you can get two savory, two sweet and two drinks for a fair price and I'd love to come back for that. Both the pies we got were unreal. And I did a little hot tea too which was delicious. Counter service but the ladies were sweet and helpful. Really wanna go back and eat ten more pieces.
You have the Piano Guy, the Try Guys, and the Pie Guys. Dangerously Delicious Pies hits the spot every time. I have fond memories of them, especially when on 3/14 they offered free slices for Pi Day at the Maryland Science Museum downtown. We stopped by after another museum trip with our son, and we grabbed half a Steak 'n Chili savory and half a Lemon Chess. Staff is nice, service is clean, the mood is always just right. Love it, and love these dang pies!
As a pie craze, I knew I had to try this shop and I was in for a ride! I've been told that I would love this place since I love pie but I went in with higher expectations as I bake pie myself at home also so a lot of times bakery pies don't always wow me over but the pies here were so good! I picked up a quiche, savory pie (pulled pork) and a couple of sweet pies (apple crumble, apple pie, blueberry pancake and the Baltimore bomb)! Apple pies were good but I preferred the crumble slightly more. The pie crust was just okay. The filling was usual. I tend to like it with a bit more spice and make it at home with a bit more spice coming through in the flavor. However, what really blew me over here was the Baltimore Bomb, the quiche and the savory pulled pork pie! Next time I go I would definitely pick up more of the quiches and savory pies!
Best pies in the area... hands down. If you're ordering for the holidays, make sure you place your order while ahead of time. You don't want to get locked out. If you forgot or run out, they will still have some extra pies for sale on holidays, but it's take what you can get. And first come first serve. Personal favorites: Apple crumb... Especially with the caramel drizzle sauce Pumpkin pie. Baltimore bomber Blueberry pie... Truly amazing But honestly, all the pies are amazing. For some reason, I've never had the quiche or savory pies. Need to try that soon.
I tried a slice of the spicy Thai savory pie and the chocolate peanut butter pie at the Baltimore Farmers Market and they were both delicious. I'm not even a pie person, but I've always seen the big pies in the freezers at Larriland Farm and been intrigued by the flavors. Each slice was $6 and for me it was worth it because now I also know I'd be interested in one of their full pies one day.
I love pie so this place is right up my alley, this is my second visit, but I will definitely be coming back on a regular. This visit for my savory pie I got the crab & cheese quiche with ole bay and it was oh so good, I was skeptical at first but it was delicious. For my sweet pie I got the coconut pineapple and was truly the taste of the islands the perfect blend of sweet from the coconut and tangy from the citrus in the pineapple so delicious 10/10.....They offer a date special for $26 Tuesday-Thursday 2 sweet pies, 2 savory pie's and 2 drinks, they are closed on Mondays.
Have popped in here a couple times when traveling in or around Baltimore, and I also order their pies to have shipped and delivered to me at home when I've needed a treat (you can order for delivery nationwide through Goldbelly). The selection of pies - savory to sweet - is HUGE. I don't have a huge sweet tooth, but have really enjoyed their sweet pie selections that I've tried (their piña colada pie is a particular favorite). I *love* their savory pies though, especially the steak, mushroom, onion, and gruyere pie... *drools*. The tricky thing sometimes has been reheating pies at home or the like. I've had one or two incidents where the pie tin for my pie must've had a hole in it or something, because the liquid from inside a pie has leaked out from the bottom and ended up in a small pool at the bottom of my oven (which has meant some additional cleaning). Given the chicken pot pie option they make tends to have less than expected gravy / sauce in it to begin with, losing any of that liquid is a real bummer. Props to the staff here who have always been lovely and attentive when I've visited in-person. One of the only other difficulties about visiting can be finding parking, so being mindful of how to time your visit can definitely be helpful. Overall though, I'm definitely a fan and would recommend folks make a visit to Dangerously Delicious Pies when in the area.
